Established in the fall of 1989 through the leadership of Scott and Sherry Harris, Sky High continues to offer the best in volleyball instruction with a positive social experience for junior athletes in the Northwest/Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas. Sky High's coaching staff is unified in teaching the skills and tactics, including the more advanced techniques of the game.
With the philosophy of training athletes in an intense controlled environment, Sky High has become one of the premier volleyball clubs in the nation. Every year, Sky High teams compete in USA, JVA and AAU events including the Central Zone series, which provide great inter-regional competition. During the 2011 season many teams will compete in the Great Lakes Power League and the new Windy City Tour. The GLPL and WCT will provide some of the best competition nation wide.
Sky High's goal is to promote academic excellence through a strong foundation of health and excercise provided by excellent training and competition. Sky High Volleyball continues to secure athletic scholarships to top collegiate institutions to more than 95% of our senior athletes. To date approximately $13.7 Million in scholarship money has been dispensed to Sky High Athletes.
Sky High also maintains an Advisory Board where the families of the athletes support the club. Through fund raising activities such as apparel sales, candy sales, car washes and other fund raising efforts, the Booster Club helps raise funds to defer athletes' costs and purchase additional equipment as needed.
The management of Sky High would like to thank all of the families for supporting their athletes, the boosters and the club. This program would not be possible without your dedication and hard work. Sky High continues to grow into one large family where athletes and parents make new friendships that last a lifetime.
